Accumulation of days for the waiting period
The insured person does not have to be disabled on a continuous basis during the waiting period. The waiting period can be an addition of several successive periods of disability.
More specifically, successive disability periods lasting 7 or more consecutive days, resulting from the same cause, can be added up to accumulate the number of days necessary for the waiting period. However, these periods cannot be added up if they are separated by more than:
- 6 months for Classes A, B and 2A
- 12 months for Classes 3A and 4A
